WiLd and CRRRRAZY parrots!

These three parrots spent several minutes talking to me about the "lack of seed" in the bird feeder [I keep forgetting to buy MORE]!  I think they have had enough of my procrastination!  LOL

When I first caught sight of them I was sitting in the family room reading in an easy chair.  I grabbed my camera and this was taken through the glass door.  They we all walking along looking to see if I had refilled the feeder, I think. They along with the grey doves clean up after the finches, who would leave a huge mess, otherwise.!  Ha ha ha.

When I opened the door they didn't fly way, but all the babies and one of the males scurried to the corner.

The adults flew over to the roof of the house behind us and called for the babies to fly to "safety", which they did after only the smallest amount of coaxing.  The little ones kept flying and the adults joined them to find a new hunting ground.  Surprisingly the dogs don't seem to discourage all the bird life in our neighborhood.  They fly away when the dog run and bark after them, but they come right back pretty often and they spend a good deal of time foraging in the yard for seeds, in the grass, etc ~ if the feeder is empty, like it is now...

A winter's day.

In Arizona it's not bitter cold. There's no howling wind, deep snow drifts or ice bound lakes. However, the dim light of deep winter darkens a noon day pause at Lynx Lake.

Baby it's COLD outside!

We are embarking on a joint photo project.  Two viewpoints of monthly themes by a virtual "pollyanna" and a virtual "badman".  Since we are married ~ as in joined forever at the hip ~ that is where we came up with the name of the blog.  This blog is not about the number of pictures we post.  Some months it may be once a week, some months it may be more... we'll just see.  We think this will be a fun project to do together and we hope our friends with share their thoughts with us on our efforts.

This month our theme is COLD, Winter or Anything of the like.
